Ulster County resident Jacob Jackson, age 24, of Rosendale, pleaded guilty to manslaughter on Tuesday, Nov. 14, for the shooting death of Myron Moye, age 36, of Kingston, said Ulster County District Attorney David Clegg.
On Friday, Nov. 1, 2019, three men wearing masks and gloves broke into Moye's home, tied up occupants, and then stabbed, shot, and killed the victim and fled, Clegg said.
Jackson was identified as one of the perpetrators through a two-year investigation led by Kingston Police Detective Benny Reyes.
The investigation, which employed over 100 search warrants involving cell phones, Facebook, and Google, led to Jacob Jackson and Christopher Jackson, no relation.
Melik Davis, Jacob Jackson’s half-brother was also indicted as a co-conspirator and accomplice.
The co-defendants are awaiting trial.
“I would like to thank all the agencies involved in this investigation, including the Kingston Police Department, the New York State Police, the FBI, and the Investigators of the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office for their extraordinary and tireless efforts to solve this vicious crime”, said Clegg.
